Deaf Initiatives has an exciting new program that will benefit central Ohio businesses. "Experiencing Your Future" is designed to place deaf and hard of hearing college students into meaningful cooperative work experiences (Co-op). The Co-op is a full-time work experience for one quarter (10 weeks) in the student’s field of study. Designed to place deaf and hard of hearing college students into meaningful cooperative work experiences, this initiatives benefits both companies and students while meeting an important mission to strengthen the potential of young adults who are deaf or hard of hearing. In collaboration with the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, NY, Deaf Initiatives will bring to your company qualified college students who are skilled in the following areas:
- Accounting Technology
- Administrative Support Technology
- Applied Computer Technology
- Applied Optical Technology
- Art and Computer Design
- Automation Technology
- Computer Aided Drafting Technology
- Computer Integrated Machining Technology
- Digital Imaging and Publishing Technology
- Laboratory Science Technology
